Sometimes we worry over things. Things that are ended in real life. Yet, not ended in our minds. We spend hours thinking about the same thing, fighting battles with a voice inside our head. Aren’t we?
The real question is, are they worth fighting for? Are they worth our time and attention?
Before that let’s look into the backgrounds
Opinions and beliefs
How do we start believe something? Well, it’s a gradual process. It is majorly influenced by the environment we are brought up. Secondly it is also influenced by our level of education.
We a multi-cultural people with a great diversity! Therefore a belief one holds is very unique to them. Their opinions are also powered by it.
If we think a simple explanation can change someone’s opinion, it’s a no. Starting to believe something, changing that, is a gradual process. Most importantly one who owns the belief should willingly embrace it.
The thing to learn is, we have no control over what others believe. Yet, we have full control over what we believe. For example some people will like you, some won’t. It is their opinion. None of our business. Spending time on such, is not even worth a second.
What about nature, natural disasters, and some daily hustle bustle. They are there whether we like it or not. All we got to do is face it or pass it. Not to complaint or overthink.
What is Worth Fighting for ?
What is worth our time and attention are things within our control. What to pass and ignore are the things beyond our control.
Sometimes the hardest part is convincing ourselves to let things go. Isn’t it? Unlike another new habit, it needs a little practice. It needs a little repetition and most importantly a little patience. Every time you worry over something, you need to question if it is within your reach or not. A little progress is also a big win here. Be gentle with yourself.
